Hello all,

Below please find a link for my E-Archives presentation.  I have embedded audio Project Summary (Video #1 replacement), and audio Survival Memo (Video #2 replacement) within the PowerPoint presentation.  Apologies for the substitution but I have had a very bad allergy episode and my eyes/face area abnormally swollen and irritated.

Thank you!
Alexia

The following link will take you to SlideShare, from there please choose to [Download] the presentation, otherwise the audio won't work... :-)

  1. Hi Alexia - I was able to download your presentation, however I was required to either set up a SlideShare account or log in with a Linked In account to be able to access the full presentation with sound. I am not sure if you can set the presentation to be available without those accounts, as that would probably be helpful. I thought your slides were informational and did a good job of summarizing your research within the project. Another thing that might be helpful would be a slide summarizing the implications of your research, just to have that visual as well. I especially appreciated your survival memo and how you noted that it might have been better for you to continue with a group even with the time constraints, since working on your own was perhaps more time consuming, plus you missed that collaboration. Hope you are feeling better! Mandy Lowe

  2. Thank you Mandy! Not sure why you had that glitch with downloading the Powerpoint... It seems to work fine from my computer without having to access from Slideshare or LinkedIn, however, I wonder if because I am logged in to SlideShare it is automatically opening. I have to check this later. As well, I appreciate your thoughts on adding a slide to summarize implications of the research project.

    Take care, Alexia

  3. Great slides, your E-Achive was very organized and unique. I have never used SlideShare, and I liked the format. However, I was unable to hear any sound unfortunately. I'm not sure what my glitch is from. I like Mandy's thoughts on adding the implications, and I am bummed I couldn't hear your Survival Memo. I believe that would have been interesting, since you are the only member in your group, and well... I am interested in how this was easier or more challenging for you. Great job with all the work you did alone!

  4. Hi Catherine,

Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately for some reason the audio isn't playing correctly for some viewers. Within the first audio recording I included a verbal recount of the implications of the project findings. As well, the Survival Memo addressed some of the pitfalls of working alone on the project. Oh well...

    Take care,
    Alexandra

    1. Alexandra,

You can email your PPT to your classmates. I downloaded it successfully through my linkedIn account and I could hear your introductions.

  5. Alexandra,

I like the pictures you added in your slides. They are relevant to your topic. Your presentation is quite clean and organized. I also like your survival memo, which is quite informative. You can add that video in your blog so that the future students can easily access to your survival memo without downloading your slides.

I like the pictures about Catalyst Center. You can explain to us what these pictures are about.

I did not hear your introduction of the history paper. In your slide, you also need to tell us which historical period you studied, and what the results are based on your study of that period of the history.
